Support our work!

Symphonia for South Africa’s vision is to strengthen the fabric of society by mobilising business, government and civil society to work collaboratively towards meeting the critical challenges facing the country. One such challenge is education, and our flagship initiative Partners for Possibilityprovides a needed and innovative leadership development intervention for the principals of under-resourced schools.

We are immensely grateful to all our partners and supporters. Support for our work comes in many forms, and can add value to our core work and the development of our programmes and strategy, as well as directly supporting project efforts. All donations, from R1 to the full cost of a Partners for Possibility partnership and more, are graciously accepted, and contribute to achieving our vision and mission. You can even support us as you shop with MySchool MyVillage MyPlanet, or through fundraising for special activities or birthdays.

To support our COVID-19-related relief efforts, which include food security and interventions to support our participating schools and principals during the crisis, please use ‘COVID19’ as a reference when making a donation.

Opportunities to support

DonateOnce-off donations

Please feel free to donate as much as you would like to, using the bank details below, PayPal or GivenGain.

We are grateful for any amount you are willing to contribute – every R1 counts. If it’s helpful to have a guideline, it costs R66,000 to enrol the Principal of an under-resourced school in the 12-month Partners for Possibility programme, and we often need additional partial fund contributions to place Principals on the programme especially in rural and outlying communities. To learn more about the impact of our work in education, please view our Impact & Trends Report for 2018-2019,  here.

Scheduled payments & crowd-funding campaigns

Our PfP2000 Campaign is an example of a scheduled payment campaign where individuals chose to donate R2000 or more over 10 months or at once. Thank you to the members of our community and beyond who have supported this initiative!  Click here to read more about our PfP2000 club, and see below for our bank details.

Scheduled payments allow us to benefit from regular income, spread over a longer period of time. You can decide how many months (or years!) and how much you donate per month. Please feel free to set up a ‘scheduled payment’ from your account to the below bank details.

Debit Order

Many ordinary people want to make a big difference and often don’t know how. A monthly debit order to a charity/NPO of your choice is a great way to do this. You can also always ask us about opportunities to get involved in our work, if and when you have some time.

Amounts suggested: R100, R200, R500 or R1000 or more, per your preferred budget
